Mentorship Matters

Hope's Haven seeks to pair campers with supportive Mentors who can prayerfully continue mentorship beyond the campground. We believe that intentional connection with foster youth will make life changing results in their lives and faith journey.

Expectations

Committing to the work of Mentorship

Mentors are adults aged 21 and older who have a heart for foster youth and a desire to intentionally walk alongside campers. During camp, Mentors are responsible for one or two assigned youth, providing guidance, encouragement, and support throughout the week. Mentors are encouraged to engage with campers on life skills, meaningful questions, and principles rooted in faith and character.

Our goal is for each Mentor to cultivate authentic, lasting relationships with at least one camper—relationships that can continue beyond camp. Whenever possible, we pair youth with Mentors from their local area, allowing for ongoing connection, community engagement, and guidance as they navigate all stages of life.

Grow in Relationship. Grow in Faith. Together.

Clearance Requirements

We strive to keep our kids safe! All of our volunteers must complete and pass the PA Child Abuse History Clearance and a Criminal History Record Check. If you are not a resident of PA or have not been a resident for the past 10 years, FBI fingerprinting is also required.
